UPDATE: Keyboard Input Issues with Mac OSX 10.15 (Catalina)

    Featured Image

UPDATE: We’ve incorporated a patch for Teradici’s PCoIP protocol in the BeBop client release 2.7.28 / 2.7.60. This resolves the keyboard input issue with Mac OSX 10.15 described below. BeBop Mac users now have a green light to update to Catalina!

As you may have heard, there is a keyboard input issue with Mac OSX 10.15 (aka Catalina). We recommend that users who run the BeBop client on Macs avoid updating and installing Catalina for a few weeks, until we have resolved this.

This is affecting numerous software companies, including our partner Teradici’s PCoIP protocol, which in turn is impacting the BeBop client’s ability to connect to VM workstations. This issue is only occurring for Mac users who have updated to Catalina, not other versions of OSX.

We’ve received a patch from Teradici and are working diligently to integrate it into BeBop. Again, in the interim, if you are running BeBop on your Mac, we recommend holding off on installing Catalina, until we have completed this patch in our PCoIP component.

We will update this post and send an alert out to our users as soon as the patch is installed and you’ve got a green light to update to Catalina.

If you have any questions, please let BeBop Support know!

    Thank-you!
